The Xylem Story

Once upon a time in a land far, far away their lived a boy whose dream was to make decorative products for the home. As he grew up he stifled this desire and instead went to school to become a doctor of all things! It was during college that he realized his life long dream of producing wonderful sinks and faucets might go unfulfilled. So, after graduating, he decided to take a career u-turn.

He worked long and hard learning this decorative business first as a salesman and then as the “head schmoozer” for a wonderful German company that made super-duper shower products. It was here where his creative juices really started to flow. He helped this company dominate its niche by hiring wonderful people to conquer the landscape. And conquer they did!

The story continues as this young man went off in search of new challenges whereupon he stumbled upon a huge company with a very cool showroom idea. He immediately went to work designing products and brands for this new enterprise and they promptly became a huge success!

But lo and behold the Wall Streeters came calling and the huge company listened to the bean counters and closed its new venture to appease those that didn’t know better.

So with no brands left to manage or products to create, the man who still harbored the creative juices of that little boy with thoughts of great design and excellent quality all at compelling price points, went off and started his own little company. He found like minded people and they toiled away working hard and smart creating the foundation for making wonderful products that look great and work great too. Today you can find these cool products at wonderful showrooms around the continent operated by the nicest people around. And thus was born the little company called Xylem where they work and play in order to change the world one bathroom at a time. The rest as they say, is bathroom history.
